BLE & BAE Discussion - Tuesday of the Sixth Week in Ordinary Time

The Lord will bless his people with peace.

Reflection from Dynamic Catholic

"Discipline is a gift we give ourselves. Every aspect of the human person thrives on discipline, and relationships are no different."

Alleluia

R. Alleluia, alleluia.
Whoever loves me will keep my word, says the Lord;
and my Father will love him
and we will come to him.
R. Alleluia, alleluia.

The disciples had forgotten to bring bread,
and they had only one loaf with them in the boat.
Jesus enjoined them, ā€œWatch out,
guard against the leaven of the Pharisees
and the leaven of Herod.ā€
They concluded among themselves that
it was because they had no bread.
When he became aware of this he said to them,
ā€œWhy do you conclude that it is because you have no bread?
Do you not yet understand or comprehend?
Are your hearts hardened?
Do you have eyes and not see, ears and not hear?
And do you not remember,
when I broke the five loaves for the five thousand,
how many wicker baskets full of fragments you picked up?ā€
They answered him, ā€œTwelve.ā€
ā€œWhen I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand,
how many full baskets of fragments did you pick up?ā€
They answered him, ā€œSeven.ā€
He said to them, ā€œDo you still not understand?ā€

He taught them on the sabbath, and they were astonished at his teaching because he spoke with authority. In the synagogue there was a man with the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out in a loud voice, "What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are–the Holy One of God!" Jesus rebuked him and said, "Be quiet! Come out of him!" Then the demon threw the man down in front of them and came out of him without doing him any harm. They were all amazed and said to one another, "What is there about his word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come o...
