BLE & BAE Discussion Feast of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, Priest

A mazing possibilities await us when we make ourselves available to God. We can learn how this is done through the lives of the saints.  From Dynamic Catholic Alleluia  1 PT 1:25 R.  Alleluia, alleluia. The word of the Lord remains forever; this is the word that has been proclaimed to you. R.  Alleluia, alleluia. Gospel  MT 13:54-58 Jesus came to his native place and taught the people in their synagogue. They were astonished and said, “Where did this man get such wisdom and mighty deeds? Is he not the carpenter’s son? Is not his mother named Mary and his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas? Are not his sisters all with us? Where did this man get all this?” And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his native place and in his own house.” And he did not work many mighty deeds there because of their lack of faith.   For the readings of the Memorial of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, please go  here . ...

A mazing possibilities await us when we are available for God. Open that path to His emended Love.  From Dynamic Catholic Alleluia  SEE ACTS 16:14B R.  Alleluia, alleluia. Open our heart, O Lord, to listen to the words of your Son. R.  Alleluia, alleluia. Gospel  MT 13:47-53 Jesus said to the disciples: “The Kingdom of heaven is like a net thrown into the sea, which collects fish of every kind. When it is full they haul it ashore and sit down to put what is good into buckets. What is bad they throw away. Thus it will be at the end of the age. The angels will go out and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.” “Do you understand all these things?” They answered, “Yes.” And he replied, “Then every scribe who has been instructed in the Kingdom of heaven is like the head of a household who brings from his storeroom both the new and the old.” When Jesus finished these parables, h...

BLE & BAE Discussion Memorial of Saint Martha

A mazing possibilities await us when we make ourselves available to God. The Saints show us how we can be available.  From Dynamic Catholic  Alleluia  JN 8:12 R.  Alleluia, alleluia. I am the light of the world, says the Lord; whoever follows me will have the light of life. R.  Alleluia, alleluia. Gospel  JN 11:19-27 Many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary to comfort them about their brother [Lazarus, who had died]. When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went to meet him; but Mary sat at home. Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But even now I know that whatever you ask of God, God will give you.” Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him, “I know he will rise, in the resurrection on the last day.” Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and anyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” ...

BLE & BAE Discussion Tuesday 17th week in Ordinary Time

A mazing possibilities await us when we remain open to God.  From Dynamic Catholic Alleluia R.  Alleluia, alleluia. The seed is the word of God, Christ is the sower; all who come to him will live for ever. R.  Alleluia, alleluia. Gospel  MT 13:36-43 Jesus dismissed the crowds and went into the house. His disciples approached him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.” He said in reply, “He who sows good seed is the Son of Man, the field is the world, the good seed the children of the Kingdom. The weeds are the children of the Evil One, and the enemy who sows them is the Devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. Just as weeds are collected and burned up with fire, so will it be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will collect out of his Kingdom all who cause others to sin and all evildoers. They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be wailing and grinding of te...

BLE & BAE Discussion Monday 17th Week of Ordinary Time

A mazing possibilities await us when we remain available. Am I making myself Ava ila lento all God wants for me? From Dynamic Catholic  Alleluia  JAS 1:18 R.  Alleluia, alleluia. The Father willed to give us birth by the word of truth that we may be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. R.  Alleluia, alleluia. Gospel  MT 13:31-35 Jesus proposed a parable to the crowds. “The Kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a person took and sowed in a field. It is the smallest of all the seeds, yet when full-grown it is the largest of plants. It becomes a large bush, and the ‘birds of the sky come and dwell in its branches.’” He  spoke to them another parable. “The Kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed with three measures of wheat flour until the whole batch was leavened.” All these things Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables. He spoke to them only in parables, to fulfill what had been said through the prophet: I will open my mouth in p...

BLE & BAE Discussion Sunday 17th Week of Ordinary Time

A mazing possibilities await us when we make ourselves available to God. This is a choice we all must make each day to open our lives to His will.  From Dynamic Catholic Alleluia  CF. MT 11:25 R.  Alleluia, alleluia. Blessed are you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth; for you have revealed to little ones the mysteries of the kingdom. R.  Alleluia, alleluia. Gospel  MT 13:44-52 OR 13:44-46 Jesus said to his disciples: “The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a field, which a person finds and hides again, and out of joy goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant searching for fine pearls. When he finds a pearl of great price, he goes and sells all that he has and buys it. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net thrown into the sea, which collects fish of every kind. When it is full they haul it ashore and sit down to put what is good into buckets. What is bad they throw away. Thus it will be at ...

BLE & BAE Discussion Feast of St. James

A mazing possibilities await us when we open ourselves to God  From Dynamic Catholic Alleluia  SEE JN 15:16 R.  Alleluia, alleluia. I chose you from the world, to go and bear fruit that will last, says the Lord. R.  Alleluia, alleluia. Gospel  MT 20:20-28 The mother of the sons of Zebedee approached Jesus with her sons and did him homage, wishing to ask him for something. He said to her, “What do you wish?” She answered him, “Command that these two sons of mine sit, one at your right and the other at your left, in your Kingdom.” Jesus said in reply, “You do not know what you are asking. Can you drink the chalice that I am going to drink?” They said to him, “We can.” He replied, “My chalice you will indeed drink, but to sit at my right and at my left, this is not mine to give but is for those for whom it has been prepared by my Father.” When the ten heard this, they became indignant at the two brothers. But Jesus summoned them and said, “You know that the rulers ...

BLE & BAE Discussion Friday 16th week in Ordinary Time

A mazing possibilities await us when we make ourselves available to God. I open myself to these possibilities.  From Dynamic Catholic Alleluia  SEE LK 8:15 R.  Alleluia, alleluia. Blessed are they who have kept the word with a generous heart and yield a harvest through perseverance. R.  Alleluia, alleluia. Gospel  MT 13:18-23 Jesus said to his disciples: “Hear the parable of the sower. The seed sown on the path is the one who hears the word of the Kingdom without understanding it, and the Evil One comes and steals away what was sown in his heart. The seed sown on rocky ground is the one who hears the word and receives it at once with joy. But he has no root and lasts only for a time. When some tribulation or persecution comes because of the word, he immediately falls away. The seed sown among thorns is the one who hears the word, but then worldly anxiety and the lure of riches choke the word and it bears no fruit. But the seed sown on rich soil is the one who he...

BLE & BAE Discussion Thursday 16th Week of Ordinary Time

A mazing possibilities await us when we remain available for God. Let us open ourselves to these possibilities.  From Dynamic Catholic Alleluia  SEE MT 11:25 R.  Alleluia, alleluia. Blessed are you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth; you have revealed to little ones the mysteries of the Kingdom. R.  Alleluia, alleluia. Gospel  MT 13:10-17 The disciples approached Jesus and said, “Why do you speak to the crowd in parables?” He said to them in reply, “Because knowledge of the mysteries of the Kingdom of heaven has been granted to you, but to them it has not been granted. To anyone who has, more will be given and he will grow rich; from anyone who has not, even what he has will be taken away. This is why I speak to them in parables, because they look but do not see and hear but do not listen or understand. Isaiah’s prophecy is fulfilled in them, which says: You shall indeed hear but not understand, you shall indeed look but never see. Gross is the heart of this peop...

BLE & BAE Discussion Wednesday Feast of Mary Magdalene

A mazing possibilities await us we we trust in Our Lord  From Dynamic Catholic  Alleluia R. Alleluia, alleluia. Tell us Mary, what did you see on the way? I saw the glory of the risen Christ, I saw his empty tomb. R. Alleluia, alleluia. Gospel  JN 20:1-2, 11-18 On the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early in the morning, while it was still dark, and saw the stone removed from the tomb. So she ran and went to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and told them, “They have taken the Lord from the tomb, and we don’t know where they put him.” Mary stayed outside the tomb weeping. And as she wept, she bent over into the tomb and saw two angels in white sitting there, one at the head and one at the feet where the Body of Jesus had been. And they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “They have taken my Lord, and I don’t know where they laid him.” When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus there, but di...

BLE & BAE Discussion Monday 16th week of Ordinarily Time

A mazing possibilities await all of us as we make ourselves available to God.  From Dynamic Catholic Alleluia  PS 95:8 R.  Alleluia, alleluia. If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts. R.  Alleluia, alleluia. Gospel  MT 12:38-42 Some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Jesus, “Teacher, we wish to see a sign from you.” He said to them in reply, “An evil and unfaithful generation seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it except the sign of Jonah the prophet. Just as Jonah was in the belly of the whale three days and three nights, so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights. At the judgment, the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and there is something greater than Jonah here. At the judgment the queen of the south will arise with this generation and condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and t...

A mazing possibilities await us when we remain in the Lord. As St. Paul rights allow the Holy Spirit in.  From Dynamic Catholic  Reading 2  ROM 8:26-27 Brothers and sisters: The Spirit comes to the aid of our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes with inexpressible groanings. And the one who searches hearts knows what is the intention of the Spirit, because he intercedes for the holy ones according to God’s will. Alleluia  CF. MT 11:25 R.  Alleluia, alleluia. While everyone was asleep his enemy came and sowed weeds all through the wheat, and then went off. When the crop grew and bore fruit, the wee...
